Tokyo Imperial Palace
Description of this spot
The Imperial Palace is the residence of the Japanese Emperor and his family. Before the Emperor moved here, the area belonged to the Tokugawa family that was ruling the country during the Edo period (1603-1868). Its total size is as big as 25 sport stadiums (such as the Tokyo Dome). Areas that are open to the public include the Eastern Garden and the Kita-no-maru Park. They are popular for jogging and walking.
