We'll visit Yushienn Garden, a traditional Japanese-style garden located in the center of Daikon-shima Island. It is the Chisen Kaiyu style garden, one of the traditional styles of Japanese garden, which has a central pond with a path around, waterfalls, streams, stone lanterns and a variety of seasonal flowers.
Its main attraction is the peony flower. It blooms in all seasons. The garden has around 250 different types of peonies. Season's flowers such as azaleas, irises, hydrangea and so on bloom in turns. In autumn, we may enjoy autumnal leaves. Therefore, we can always enjoy different atmosphere of the garden.

Matsue Castle Tower is one of the only 12 existing wooden tower keeps across the nation. It was constructed in 1611 and designated as a national treasure.
Shiomi-nawate Street around the castle area is one of 100 roads of scenic beauty in Japan. Along the street, there are various historic places such as a former samurai residence of Matsue domain in feudal era and Memorial Museum of Lafcardio Hearn.

Kiyomizudera temple was one of the oldest temples in Japan, which was opened in 587 soon after Buddhism was introduced to Japan in 538. There is a three-storied pagoda rebuilt in 1859 and a main hall called Konpon-do built in 1393. We can have lunch of Buddhist vegetarian meal at a Japanese restaurant in the precinct. You can also experience "zazen", zen meditation if you like.

Matsue is where the Fumai-school of Japanese Tea Ceremony was born. In the first weekend of every October, Matsue Grand Tea Ceremony is held. In 2018, it is scheduled to take place on 6 & 7 of October. Many people dress up in kimono and visit Matsue castle ground, Matsue Historical Museum and Meimei-un Tea house where the various kinds of tea ceremonies are carried out. People on the part of the host of about 10 different schools of tea ceremony show their own way of tea and offer a bowl of green tea with wagashi, Japanese traditional sweets.

You'll visit Adachi Museum of Art and enjoy watching its main 6 different types of Japanese traditional gardens. They have been ranked as Japanese no.1 gardens every year since 2003 by the US-based magazine, Journal of Japanese Gardening.
We'll enjoy the private collections of the founder of the Museum, Adachi Zenko. They are Japanese modern arts of paintings, ceramics and sculptures of early 20 c .
The museum now houses over 1500 pieces of modern arts. The exhibition is changed seasonally.
