Description of this tour
Danjo Garan is another important area in Koyasan. The word Garan is derived from the Sanskrit and means a quiet and secluded place where Buddhist monks may train. It has served as the focal point of the study, training and rituals for Shingon Buddhist monks from the ninth century to the present day. Kodo Daishi expressed a three-dimensional Mandala world through the buildings of Garan. Inside the design is also three-dimensional expression of the Mandala of Shingon Buddhism. Kongobuji Temple is the head temple of 3600 Shingon Esoteric Buddhism. You can also see the largest rock garden in Japan.
I have fallen in love with Koyasan. I moved ashes of my ancestors to Koyasan. So it is my second hometown. Let's enjoy the historical sites as well as delicious cuisine. I'll do my best as your guide to make your trip unforgettable.
