Hi! I'm TAK Harasawa.

I will guide you!

Description of this tour

Kamakura is surrounded by mountains and its south faces the ocean. Kamakura offers green mountains for backpackers, blue water for surfers, shrines and temples for visitors. We will visit the most popular shrine in the region and three Buddhist temples.

1)Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu Shrine dominates Kamakura City. Walking on the mounded approach to the shrine is outstanding. Besides, you'll have hands-on experience of Japanese tradition and culture:offering a prayer, drawing an oracle, writing wishes on a votive tablet and lots more.

2)Hokoku-ji Temple is a Zen temple and also known as Bamboo temple. You may enjoy “Maccha” or the powdered green tea while appreciating the bamboo forest on the temple ground.

3)The Great Buddha tops the list of tourist attractions in Kamakura. Take a great snapshot with 13 meters sitting Buddha. You may enter the inside of the statue.

4)Hase-dera Temple is famous for not only the 11-headed Goddess of Mercy, but its beautiful flowers like hydrangeas, maple leaves, wisteria and cherry blossoms. From the observation platform you’ll get a bird-eye view of the beach, the Miura Peninsula and the downtown Kamakura.

I was born and raised in Kamakura. It is surrounded by mountains in three direction and its south faces the Pacific Ocean.
In old times, Kamakura was said,"Easy to defend, but hard to attack". Therefore the first Samurai Shogun, Minamoto no Yoritomo chose Kamakura as his millitary base to fight against his enemies in the late 12th century.

In our times, Kamakura offers green environment, blue ocean, old shrines and temple. As a regisitered national guide-interpreter I would like to intorduce an acient city, Kamakura and give the amusing experience to visitors. I am waiting for your booking.
