Hi! I'm Hiroyuki Iwai.

I will guide you!

Description of this tour

Kamakura was the first seat of samurai government from the late 12th to the early 14th century, so there are many historical interests. Besides that, you see scenic beauty because it is surrounded by mountains on three sides and the sea to the south like a natural fortress. Through this tour, you feel the atmosphere of Japan's medieval political and military center as well as strategic importance. As Kamakura period(1185-1333) witnessed the emergence of several new sects of Buddhism, so there are 85 temples in the city according to the local board of education. I am sure you will be becoming more interested in Japanese history and culture.

I am a 60 year old male national licensed English tour guide. I worked for a trading company for 35 years. Since my office worker's days, I have believed a tour guide is a wonderful and significant profession because I accompany tourists from overseas and help them navigate and understand Japan. That is why I successfully acquired the qualification of its national license two years ago. I am very happy when I accompany customers and conduct tours.
