Description of this tour
Have you ever seen the very big lantern in your guide book. It's Sensouji-temple in Asakusa. It is the most popular tourist spot in Tokyo. In the precinct you will see the red lantern, the statues of the god of wind and thunder, a five-storied pagoda. And how about an incense burner with miracle powers said to cure every ailment. I, myself, put its smoke on my brain and face.......and the result? No comment! On the main hall, where the Buddha is so luminescent as to blind any viewers' eyes. And finally , comes Asakusa shrine, a place where Buddhism and Shintoism reside in perfect harmony: the very essence of Japanese thinking when it comes to religion.
After visiting Sensouji temple, why don't you stroll in the Nakamise shopping street? You can find Japanese souvenirs like kimono, fans, swords, and Japanese food.
After that in cherry blossom season (from the end of March to the middle of April) I will take you to see cherry bloosoms and have a picnic under the cherry trees. Whole area will be painted pink with cherry blossoms, you will feel you're in the paradise.
