What a packed day of great sites. We began with a walk through the Bamboo Forest, a surreal experience of towering green colors. We enjoyed a matcha tea ceremony service by a hostess in traditional dress. Next, Kiomi guided us through a Zen garden nearby that included a detailed explanation of the symbolism of Zen gardens and a fantastic view of Kyoto. She took us to a Kimono fashion show that even the most non-fashion guys like myself would enjoy. A great start to our time in Kyoto!
